Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Standards

The following are strictly prohibited on MumCircle:

• Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised imagery of minors, real or generated
• Grooming, or any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes
• Sextortion, blackmail, or coercion involving minors
• Child trafficking, or facilitating the exploitation of a minor
• Sexualised commentary, descriptions, or roleplay involving minors
• Sharing identifying information about a child with the intent to facilitate harm
• Using children's profile information on MumCircle for any purpose other than community matching between mothers

Violations result in immediate and permanent account termination, preservation of relevant evidence, and reporting to the appropriate authorities.

• MumCircle accounts are for adults aged 18 or over only. Minors may not create or hold accounts.
• Every new account must pass an AI-assisted selfie check at onboarding, which assesses whether the person appears to be an adult woman. The selfie is processed for verification only and is not stored.
• Accounts that fail age or gender assurance are refused onboarding.
• Children never hold accounts, never log in, and never message or are messaged on MumCircle.
• Children's information is limited to an age range and gender, shared only to help mothers find compatible families. No child names, photos, schools, or precise locations are collected.

Anyone — user or non-user — can report suspected CSAE. Reports are treated as the highest priority and reviewed by our safety team, generally within 24 hours.

• In-app: use the Report option on any profile, post, event, community, or message.
• By email: childsafety@mumcircle.org (monitored for CSAE and child safety reports).
• General safety concerns: safety@mumcircle.org.

Reports may be made anonymously. We do not disclose the reporter's identity to the reported user. Reporting does not replace contacting law enforcement — if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

• Suspected CSAE content is removed or restricted as soon as it is identified.
• The account is suspended immediately pending review, and permanently banned on confirmation.
• We preserve relevant account records and content as required to support investigations.
• We attempt to detect and block re-registration by banned users.
• We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or to the relevant national authority in the user's jurisdiction, such as the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE), the UK's Internet Watch Foundation and NCA-CEOP, or local police, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

• Selfie-based adult verification at signup, plus email verification.
• AI-assisted moderation of profiles, posts, comments, events and community content to detect sexual content, grooming signals, spam and fake accounts.
• Human review of all escalated and reported child-safety cases.
• Community and event listings involving children are restricted to verified adult members.
• Ongoing monitoring for accounts attempting to solicit contact with children.

MumCircle maintains a designated child safety contact for regulators, platforms, law enforcement, and the public:

We respond to law enforcement and regulator enquiries relating to child safety as a priority.

MumCircle complies with applicable child safety laws and platform requirements in the markets we serve, including Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Store guidelines, and relevant national laws covering child protection and online safety. Where legally required, we report CSAE to the designated national body and retain records for the period required by law.
